It’s 2015, and it seems if you haven’t already been upstaged by young dancers whose moves you will never have (we’re talking about you, Maddie Ziegler) you’re probably doing something wrong. It’s okay to admit it—no one above the age of 15 is immune from the shame.
In the latest reminder of your lack of natural rhythm, Taylor Hatala and Larsen Thompson majorly break it down to Big Sean’s “IDFWU.” Directed by Tim Milgram, and choreographed by YouTube dance maven Janelle Ginestra, the video is a far cry from the original.
Unlike the original, no Kanye or varsity athletes are in sight. The remake is a minimal wonder in which sheer talent trumps plot. Sporting backwards button downs and having a disregard for denim decorum that we haven’t seen since the days of Kriss Kross, Hatala and Thompson both DGAF and DFWU. There’s no need for trees in this desert because this dynamic duo’s throwing Amazon levels of shade.
